5.3. FAQ - Licensing and Copyright and Naming
- When you can do
The course is a public good released freely under a Creative Commons license. There’s nothing in the Creative Commons license which requires you to refer to the course in a particular way.
- What we’d like you do to
When you refer to the course, we would prefer it to be “Better Conversations, with [Your Name Here]” rather than “by” which implies exclusive ownership. For example, “Better Conversations, Joan Smith” rather than “Better Conversations by Joan Smith”.
Should you feel so moved, a link back to the Foundation would be gratefully received. The link is https://www.betterconversations.foundation/
- Naming the course
If you’ve renamed Better Conversations and claimed it as your own, that’s your right. And we won’t be able to provide you with the kind of support we offer associates and partners should you do that.
